Welcome to Birdwood Wine & Cheese Centre

The Birdwood Wine and Cheese Centre promotes Boutique wines, cheeses and gourmet products from around the State of South Australia. South Australia is considered the driest state in the driest continent but we produce some of the most outstanding produce available. As many small wine producers do not have a cellar door for their tastings and sales, we will promote and sell their wines within our centre, our wine club and many South Australian Shows. We also offer tastings of selected gourmet products and cheeses. Gift Baskets with wine and regional products are made to your order and can be delivered throughout Australia.

The Birdwood Wine & Cheese Centre is located on the main street of Birdwood opposite the National Motor Museum. The historic township of Birdwood is nestled in the Adelaide Hills approximately 45 minutes from the centre of Adelaide and is accessible by a number of alternative tourism routes. Travel along the South Eastern Freeway to the Verdun exit and follow the signs to Birdwood. Travel the beautiful Torrens Valley through Tea Tree Gully, Inglewood, Gumeracha ( home of the Big Rocking Horse and Wooden Toy Factory) to Birdwood. Roads also lead from the Barossa Valley either through Mt Pleasant or Williamstown. Opening times - Wed - Sat 10.30am - 5.00pm Sunday - 12.00pm - 4.00pm Public Holidays - 12.00pm - 4.00pm Closed Mondays and Tuesdays, Good Friday and Christmas Day & Boxing Day.

Sit and enjoy a glass of wine with a cheese platter, served with biscuits and local olives or a "Double Dip" choose from Asian pumpkin, spinach pesto dip or poppy seed skordahlia. Don't miss out on our new gourmet lines - dried apricots - new olive oils, olives and dukkah. Bremercafe (Uraidla) gourmet dips and pesto's Warrakilla (McLaren Vale) Stringy Bark Honey, Basil Mustard, Horseradish Mustard, Basil Olive Oil and Tarragon Vinegar.

Birdwood Wine & Cheese Centre is also the Cellar Door for our local wine -"Coobara" In it's short history Coobara has gathered some extraordinary reviews and show medal and trophy successes with the most recent being "Gold", "Best Shiraz" and "Best Red Wine" of the show for the International Cool Climate Wine Show.
